PACT meetings are held every first Thursday of the month at the Retirement Village, commencing 7pm.
I was at the Pact meeting last night and there was some really good news about Policing for Buckshaw.
I'll not steal the thunder from the minutes, but on behalf of the BVCA i'd like to thank Richard Robertshaw for listening to our concerns and providing a solution to the issues we had raised regarding inconsitencies between the two police authorities covering the area.
The meeting was attended by the Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendant Stuart Williams and the Chief Inspector, Richard Robertshaw.
Mr Williams thought the meeting went very well and was pleased that he could further support the work we are doing within the PACT by committing additional resources to Buckshaw Village. He is positive about how things are progressing in the area and thinks the low level of crime is testament to everyone’s hard work and wouldn’t suggest any changes to the PACT format.
Mr Robertshaw announced that the neighbourhood policing for whole of Buckshaw Village would come under the control of Chorley Police which would include a dedicated CBM (Community Beat Manager) to work alongside PCSO Nerys Brown.
This is fantastic news so, to everyone who has taken the time to attend a PACT, thank you very much.
Response policing (e.g. when a call is made to the 0845 number that requires Police attendance) will remain unchanged.
